The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has been plunged into mourning following the demise of its Chairman, Ajiboye Omodewu. After a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness, Omodewu succumbed to death in the United States, where he held citizenship.
A native of Otu-Itesiwaju, Omodewu had a distinguished political career, serving as commissioner in various ministries during the tenure of the late former governor Abiola Ajimobi. In recent times, he achieved a remarkable feat by completing his law degree and graduating from law school.
The news of his passing was confirmed by Olawale Sadare, Publicity Secretary of the APC, in a brief message on the party's WhatsApp platform. Omodewu's death has left a void in the Oyo State political landscape, and his contributions to the APC will be deeply missed.
