The incoming President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, has outlined her vision for the institute, focusing on enhancing educational programs, fostering innovation, and promoting ethical practices within the industry. Ilori, who is also the Chairman of the Council of the Institute, disclosed this during a news conference ahead of her investiture on July 23.
According to Ilori, her tenure will be guided by the theme "Igniting the Bedrock of Our Envisioned Industry," which will be actualized through an agenda summarized by the acronym EPIC - Education, Professionalism, Institutional Recognition, and Capacity Building.
She emphasized the importance of evolving education through technology, bridging the knowledge gap about insurance, and promoting the highest standards of professionalism.
Ilori also pledged to sustain the successes recorded by previous presidents and complete previously initiated projects. She assured that her administration would establish a Chartered Insurance Analyst (CIA) product, create internship programs, and promote the institute's Fellowship program.
With her leadership, the CIIN is poised to become a force for positive change in the industry, empowering the public, elevating professional standards, and ensuring the institute is recognized as a beacon of excellence.
