President Bola Tinubu has expressed his relief at the news of the release of the Kuriga school children in Kaduna State. He emphasised the importance of collaboration between the federal government and states in achieving desired outcomes, particularly in matters of security. This information was contained in a statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), dated March 24, 2024.
President Tinubu commended the National Security Adviser, the Security Agencies, and the Kaduna State Government for their swift and diligent handling of the situation. He noted that prompt urgency, meticulous attention, and unwavering dedication are crucial to achieving optimal outcomes in cases of mass abductions.
In addition to the Kuriga school children, President Tinubu also welcomed the release of pupils from a Tsangaya school in Sokoto State. He commended all parties involved in the successful operation for their valiant efforts.
The President assured Nigerians that his administration is implementing detailed strategies to ensure that schools remain safe sanctuaries of learning, rather than becoming targets for rampant abductions.
