The group of suspects, which includes 38 males and two females, was detained following credible intelligence regarding their alleged involvement in internet-related crimes.
The operation led to the seizure of several items believed to be instrumental in their illicit activities. These include two cars, 56 mobile phones, four smart watches, eight power banks, and four laptops.
The EFCC, in its commitment to uphold justice and curb cybercrime, has stated that the suspects will face legal proceedings as soon as the investigations are concluded. This development underscores the agency's relentless efforts to combat internet fraud and protect the integrity of the digital space in Nigeria.
