Bauchi State University, Gadau, has recently celebrated the graduation of 184 students who have achieved first-class honours.
In addition to these top achievers, the university also saw 3,593 students graduate with second-class upper-division honours. Furthermore, 484 students completed their postgraduate studies across a variety of programmes. These included 119 Postgraduate Diplomas, 193 Professional Masters, 193 Academic Masters, and 19 Ph.D.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Fatima Tahir, shared this information during a pre-convocation press conference on Friday. This was in anticipation of the inaugural convocation, which was scheduled for Saturday, 16 December.
Professor Tahir also provided some background information about the university. She stated that full academic activities at the university commenced in the 2011/2012 session. She further explained that the establishment of the university was made possible by the Bauchi State House of Assembly Act of 2009.
