The right-back was outstanding for Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. She helped the Super Falcons reach the quarter-finals for the first time in their history.
The 26-year-old also had a stellar season with her National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side, Houston Dash. She was instrumental in their run to the playoffs and scored four goals from the back.
Alozie took to social media to celebrate her inclusion in the CAF Women’s Team of the Year.
