The examination is scheduled to take place on August 19, 2023, across the 16 local government areas of the state.
In a statement released by the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development on Sunday, it was emphasised that the common entrance examination into Junior Secondary Schools is entirely free of charge, as the state government fully covers the expenses.
Therefore, any attempts to collect money from pupils or their parents by headteachers or principals were deemed unlawful and subject to strict sanctions.
The ministry further stressed that pupils must adequately prepare for the examination and warned against any form of malpractice, as such actions would not be tolerated.
The announcement aims to ensure that all eligible candidates have equal and fair opportunities to participate in the examination, promoting transparency and access to quality education in the state.
