Throughout his career, Chukkol has held several command appointments within the EFCC. From 2011 to 2016, he served as the Head of the Advance Fee Fraud and Cybercrime Sections of the Lagos and Abuja Zonal Commands, respectively. In 2017, he assumed the pioneering role of Commander of the Uyo Zonal Command, and in 2020, he took on the responsibility of Commander of the Port Harcourt Zonal Command. These appointments reflect his leadership skills and ability to effectively combat financial crimes on various fronts.

He has cultivated strong relationships with agencies such as the FBI, UK National Crime Agency, United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS), United States Secret Service, Australian Federal Police, Dutch Police, German Police, and South African Police. Furthermore, Chukkol has actively engaged with other governments to enhance the legal framework and infrastructure required for successful law enforcement actions.
As Nigeria's representative at the International Mass Marketing Fraud Working Group, he assumes a crucial role in coordinating efforts among key government regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, prosecution teams, immigration and customs departments, financial intelligence units, consumer protection agencies, and trade and competition bureaus.

The EFCC recognised his outstanding contributions by awarding him "the Most Outstanding Award in Operations." Likewise, the United States Department of Justice honoured him with the "Outstanding Performance Award," highlighting his impactful efforts in the fight against financial crimes.
Academically, Chukkol holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics from the University of Maiduguri, which he obtained in 2000. Additionally, he holds a postgraduate certificate in criminal justice education from the University of Virginia in the United States, further augmenting his knowledge and skills.
