President Bola Tinubu has made significant changes to the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army by appointing key individuals to top positions.
Kayode Egbetokun, a former police orderly and a trusted ally of President Tinubu, has been selected as the new Inspector-General of Police.
Additionally, Abiodun Lagbaja has been appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff. These appointments follow the recent dismissal of all service chiefs by President Tinubu, as he prioritizes a strategic overhaul of the security apparatus in the country.
The Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force are also expected to undergo similar changes as part of this process.
Further information on these developments will be provided in due course.
