JUST IN: FG suspends Adamawa's REC

 Hudu Yunusa-Ari, Adamawa state's resident electoral commissioner, has been suspended by the federal government.

Willie Bassey, director of information in the office of the secretary to the government of the federation, said in a statement on Thursday that President Muhammadu Buhari approved Yunusa-Ari's immediate suspension pending the completion of an investigation by the inspector general of police into the REC's conduct/actions during the supplementary election in Adamawa.
