The party made the demand in a statement issued by its state Publicity Secretary, Akinloye Bankole, on Sunday in Abeokuta.
According to the party, the returning officer manipulated the results of the elections in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in some areas of the state.
“The PDP in Ogun State rejects in totality the concocted results being bandied about by the Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali-led team of INEC officials in Ogun State,” the statement read in part.
“The PDP is calling on the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, to immediately remove Professor Ambali from Ogun State for his shameless role in the plan to manipulate the results of the elections in favour of the APC.”
The PDP accused the APC of conniving with the returning officer to manipulate the elections results and called on the INEC Chairman to set up a new team to collate the results in the state.
“The PDP in Ogun State is not unaware of the connivance between the APC and Prof. Ambali-led INEC team to manipulate the results of the elections in some areas of the state,” the statement added.
“We call on the INEC Chairman to set up a new team to collate the results of the elections in Ogun State to ensure that the true will of the people of the state prevails.”
The Ogun State governorship election was held on Saturday, March 9, with the APC candidate, Dapo Abiodun, emerging as the winner.
The PDP had earlier rejected the governorship election results alleging widespread irregularities and violence during the exercise.
