Just in: NNPP takes slim lead over APC in Kano governorship election

The Kano governorship election results are showing a neck-and-neck race between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), with the latter taking a narrow lead. The collation of results began a few hours ago, and after the 30th Local Government Area collation, Abba Bichi Yusuf of the NNPP had polled 567,135 votes, while Nasir Gawuna of the APC had secured 567,352 votes. The margin between the two parties stands at just 217 votes.
