Leke Adegbite, the State Chairman of NUJ, expressed his dissatisfaction with the manner in which INEC conducted the accreditation process for media practitioners in the state.
He raised concerns about the poor logistics arrangement for journalists covering the election, which he described as unsatisfactory.
Adegbite called on INEC to improve its communication channels with journalists and urged the commission to ensure that all journalists in the state are properly accredited for the election.
He also called on security agencies to ensure the safety of journalists and provide them with adequate protection during the exercise.
The NUJ State Chairman further stated that the media plays a critical role in ensuring free, fair and credible elections and stressed the need for INEC to create a conducive environment for journalists to carry out their duties effectively without intimidation or harassment.
