The Nigerian Air Force has taken proactive measures to ensure a safe and secure gubernatorial election in Ebonyi State. In preparation for tomorrow's election, the Air Force has deployed one of its flying jets to provide surveillance and monitor the airspace for any potential security threats.
In addition to the flying jet, the Nigerian Navy has also deployed river boats to navigate the waterways and conduct patrols along the river's axis. The river boats are equipped with armoured personnel carriers to provide security to the personnel on board.
The decision to deploy the flying jet and river boats was made after a security council meeting with Governor David Umahi and all security chiefs in the state. The meeting was held in Abakaliki, the state capital, and was aimed at ensuring a peaceful and credible election.
Governor Umahi expressed his gratitude to the security chiefs and urged them to remain vigilant and proactive in their efforts to ensure a free and fair election. He also called on the citizens of Ebonyi State to cooperate with security agencies and conduct themselves peacefully during the election.
