Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for president, was unable to contain his joy as a huge audience flocked to Kano for the North West rally of the ruling party on Wednesday.
According to Prime 9ja Online, the former governor of Lagos state began dancing fervently and told the crowd that "all I want to do is dance" as soon as he saw the enormous crowd that had filled the rally's location. I want music," she said, before starting to dance again.
Following that, he assured the gathering that he would uphold his commitments to Nigerians, one of which is to "provide your family peace and harmony. I'll work for both Nigeria and you.
In a previous speech, the governor of Kebbi state and chairman of the Progressive Governor's Forum, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, allayed concerns of party members regarding rumours that some of the governors of the party had been meeting with PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Contrary to allegations, he asserted, all APC governors are supporting Tinubu as they have done when Tinubu first became a candidate for president. He added that all current and former APC governors are leading the campaign to elect Tinubu president, as seen by their presence in Kano.
“We are urging our people to ignore all the fake news from the people saying APC governors are meeting with them,” he added.
