Labour Party Guber Candidate, Campaign Chair May Shun Obi’s Rally In Kano

Balarabe Wakili, the state coordinator for Peter Obi's campaign, Mohammed Zarewa, the chairman of the Labour Party's (LP) Presidential Campaign Council, Bashir I. Bashir, and Idris Dambazau, a member of the presidential campaign council, are all likely to skip the presidential candidate's rally in Kano.

The event is planned to begin at noon at Kano Pillars Stadium in the state capital's Sabongari neighbourhood.

When asked about the rally's schedule, Bashir replied that he was unsure but would check and get back to our reporter. However, as of the time this story was filed, he had not yet responded.

Speaking anonymously, a senior colleague of the party officials claimed they had decided to skip the event because of the campaign's exclusive attitude and contempt for them.

He said that Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate, among other factors, had influenced poor decisions and the participation of inactive people in the direction of the party's activities at the state and federal levels.

Recall that the LP's gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa state, along with all of its senate candidates, just defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
