Fandi David, a 26-year-old man, stood before an Ikeja Magistrates' Court on Tuesday for allegedly stealing N5.525 million worth of aluminium windows.
David is accused of conspiracy, theft, and burglary on three counts; his home address was not disclosed.
He, however, entered a not-guilty plea to the accusation.
According to the prosecution, Insp. Funmi Akinleye, the offences were committed on January 16 on Awolowo Way in Ikeja by the defendant and other people who are still at large.
She claimed that the defendant broke into a third-floor office flat and stole 24 windows made of aluminium valued at N5.525 million, which belonged to a Dr Obafunso Peter.
She claims that the offences are against Sections 411, 280, and 287(7) of the Lagos State Criminal Law from 2015.
The defendant was granted bail in the amount of N500,000 with two sureties in the same amount by the magistrate, Mrs O.O. Fajana.
The case was postponed until February 27 for mention by Fajana. (NAN)
