Volodymyr Zelensky condemns Russian “terror” after Kherson shelling

In Kherson city, which Kyiv's troops retook in November, shelling on Saturday resulted in at least five fatalities and twenty injuries. Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, denounced Russian "horror."

On Telegram, Zelensky posted images of the incident along with a description of it as "killing for the sake of terror and pleasure," noting that it took place "in the morning, on Saturday, on the eve of Christmas, in the central part of the city."

"It is the true life of Ukraine," he said. The terrible evil that we are battling against must be seen and understood by the entire globe.

Ten months after the war began, a fire broke out at a well-liked Saturday market in Kherson, and it was encircled by a barrage of bombardments.

Multiple bodies were found, including one who was shot while driving close to a market, according to AFP reporters.

A second man's head suffered terrible injuries after his car was blown up.

According to Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the Deputy Head of the Presidency, "at least five dead and 20 injured" were recorded.

Despite Russia's military withdrawing from the southern port city in November, Kherson remains dangerous due to easy access.

On the 15th, when Russia bombarded the town, two people were killed, among them a member of the Red Cross, and Kherson's electricity was completely cut off.
