According to President Muhammadu Buhari, if Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress is elected as the future leader of Nigeria, the nation will see significant transformation.
Additionally, he expressed confidence that, under Tinubu's presidency in 2023, the country will continue to develop "from what has so far been achieved throughout the country in the last seven plus years."
As the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for the upcoming general elections in 2023, Buhari made these remarks while visiting the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Office in Gusau. Buhari was represented by Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Prof. Isa Ali Pantami.
In a statement issued by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State and signed by Yusuf Idris Gusau, it was stated that President Buhari also visited the region to take part in the annual Musabaka Qur'anic recitation competition's closing ceremony.
Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa is in charge of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Zamfara State, and he gave him a tour.
According to the statement, “He commended the arrangement put in place by the coordinator, saying that the joint effort put in place by Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle, former governor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa accounted for the rousing welcome his delegation received while in the state.”
“He assured people of the state that with APC’s Tinubu as the next President, the nation will witness overwhelming transformation, moving ahead from what has been achieved throughout the country in the last seven-plus years.
“The President thanked the people of Zamfara and all Nigerians for the support he has been enjoying in his leadership. He urged Nigerians to continue to support the APC by ensuring its victory at all levels in the coming elections.”
After Governor Bello Matawalle welcomed the President and his delegation, he said, “Zamfara is the home base of the APC whereby opposition parties seem nonexistent.”
The governor, who is also the APC’s North West Zonal Coordinator, has remarked that Senator Marafa’s appointment as state campaign coordinator has given him renewed energy and made his job easier.
