Yekini Ayoku, the Commissioner of Police, reported that in 2022, the Kaduna police killed 21 bandits and freed 206 captives.
He said that 1,446 animals that had been stolen by bandits from various sites around the state had been found by the police.
The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police said 49 rifles and guns had been seized from criminals at a year-end news conference in the state.
He said that "780 individuals were captured in connection with various offences" during the time period under review.
Yekini Ayoku reported that 116 of the persons who had been arrested for various offences had been convicted.
The Commissioner claims that 1,359 live rounds of ammunition and 17 operating motorbikes that belonged to the criminals were found.
He stated that this year, 15 bags of dried leaves, perhaps Indian hemp, were found on the suspects.
