Five new permanent secretaries have been appointed to the state civil service by Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun.
This is stated in a statement released Friday in the state's capital, Abeokuta, signed by the governor's chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin.
According to Somorin, the new hires will fill the open positions in the government.
He said that factors including seniority, talent, professionalism, and inclusion were considered when choosing the new permanent secretary.
The CPS claimed that the governor made the appointments by Section 208(c) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Constitution of 1999 (as amended).
He named Sakirudeen Salaam, Adesoji Adewuyi, Hammed Ojo, Mr Adesina Towolawi, and Dr Olayinka Elemide as the new permanent secretaries.
While congratulating the appointments, Governor Abiodun, according to Somorin, advised them to be prepared for the demands of their jobs and devote themselves wholeheartedly to his administration's "Building Our Future Together" mission.
