In Lagos, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency agents have found drugs in consignments from Pakistan.
The drugs were found at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos' SAHCO import shed.
On November 4, 2022, 13 cartons of Tramadol 225 mg and 200 mg that were imported from Karachi, Pakistan, were among the narcotics that were found.
The shipment contains 642,800 pills of pharmaceutical opioids and weighs a total of 465,10 kg.
In addition to confirming the recovery of the drugs, Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA's director of media and advocacy, also disclosed that on November 3 at the NAHCO export shed at the MMIA, agents also detained a shipment of various illicit drugs bound for Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Among the drugs recovered were Cannabis, Cocaine and Methamphetamine as well as Tramadol 225mg and Rohypnol.
They were concealed in foot wears and soap packs.
A 32-year-old lady, Oladitan Serah Olufunmilayo, who presented the consignment for export, was arrested.
