Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, commonly known as Jandor, is running for governor of Lagos State on behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and he claims that if he wins the general election in 2023, the people of Lagos would not regret voting for him and will instead be grateful to God for doing so.
At the PDP secretariat in Alimosho Local Administration Area yesterday to wrap up his visit of the region, the governorship candidate addressed throngs of party supporters. He stated that his team has prepared to lead a humane government with the interests of the people as its top priority.
“You will send us your prayers and not curse when we get there, because you are going to thank God that you voted for me.
“We are here to run a government of the masses. We are going to run a government everyone will be happy with and have been yearning for. You will send us prayers if you support us to serve you,” Jandor said.
Jandor noted that God has written it down that the PDP will win Lagos State in 2023 and has chosen him and his running mate, Funke Akindele to make Lagos resources work for all the inhabitants.
He added, “God has chosen that as small as my running mate and I are, we will take over the government house in Lagos in 2023.
“God has chosen us to win this election. I know that by the power of God and your support, we shall win,” Jandor said.
While addressing the non-indigenes, Jandor who is also the lead visioner of the Lagos-4-Lagos Movement, said that his team is prepared to create a state that would work for all the residents regardless of ethnic background.
Jandor said, “Lagos must work for all the residents. Lagos must work for the Igbo, the Arewa and all ethnic nationalities resident in the state.”
He urged the electorate to vote all the party’s candidates from the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to other candidates in the national and state legislative assemblies.
Jandor and his running mate, Funke Akindele who flagged off their campaign on Wednesday, having concluded a three-day campaign in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, touring various wards and markets, is billed to move his campaign train to Badagry on Saturday.
