Ice Prince Zamani, a Nigerian hip-hop recording artist, has been charged on three counts in a magistrate court after being arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in the early hours of Friday for alleged abduction and assault on an officer.
The 'Oleku' singer was hauled into the Ajah Magistrate Court. Ice Prince was charged with assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties, and abduction, according to the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin.
Mister Hundeyin previously revealed the details of the veteran rapper's arrest; "At 3 a.m. today, Ice Prince was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be driven to the police station. He then kidnapped the police in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and will appear in court today."
This comes just a few days after the Lagos State Police Command announced that singer Daniel Benson, better known as BNXN, will face charges for assaulting and spitting on a police officer.
