Surprisingly, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani of the Peoples Democratic Party, who now serves as the senator for Enugu East Senatorial District, has been designated as a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for the upcoming 2023 elections.
According to PRIME 9JA ONLINE, the APC unveiled the roster of the Presidential Campaign Council on Friday after weeks of trepidation and repeated delays.
The Enugu East Senatorial District is now represented by Nnamani, a former governor of Enugu State from 1998 to 2003 who is also a member of the local government directorate. He occupies position 350 on the list of the APC's 422 PCC members, which was signed by James Faleke, the council's secretary.
The council chaired by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), will be inaugurated on Monday.
Meanwhile, last month, in an interview, Senator Nnamani admitted that Tinubu is a strong politician that he admires a lot especially because of his political achievements but would prefer to vote for the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Nnamani is also seeking a return to the Senate for the third time and is listed by INEC as the PDP senatorial candidate for Enugu East in the February 2023 election.
