Imran Khan's counsel reports that a Pakistani court has ordered the dismissal of the terrorism-related allegations against the former prime minister.
According to Khan's attorney Faisal Chaudhry, the court ruled on Monday that the accused offence did not give rise to terrorist charges.
For comments he made at a public gathering on August 20 against police officers and a female judge who had ordered the detention of one of his senior aides, Shahbaz Gill, Khan, 69, was charged with terrorism.
The leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party allegedly promised "action" in his speech by filing a lawsuit against high-ranking police officers in Islamabad and Judge Zeba Chaudhry, who had authorised Gill's two-day arrest.
The cricketing icon-turned-politician denied he threatened the officials in his speech, saying his words were taken out of context.
