President Muhammadu Buhari expressed his condolences to Senator Kabiru Gaya of Kano South over the loss of his son, Sadiq, who was said to have passed away in mysterious circumstances, according to reports.
His Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, issued a statement on Wednesday that included the President's condolences.
The President offered consolation to Senator Gaya and his family in the wake of the unfortunate tragedy and expressed optimism that the police investigation into the circumstances of the death will reveal the truth and result in the punishment of the offenders.
The President also condoled the demise of Alhaji Bala Muhammad Tajudeen, a prominent Kano community leader, whose son, Usman Bala is the Head of Service and Acting Chief of Staff, Government House, Kano.
In commiserating with the family of the deceased, President Buhari described him as a very disciplined and industrious gentleman who inculcated the values of hard work and patriotism in the children he left behind.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
