In preparation for the 2023 general elections, some presidential candidates and the heads of the 18 officially recognised political parties have begun to arrive at the International Conference Centre (ICC).
The National Peace Committee, led by Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah and former head of state General Abdulsalami Abubakar, organised the peace agreement.
The initiative was created in 2014 in response to new dangers brought on by the general elections of 2015.
Senator Kashim Shettima, vice presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Omoleye Sowore, presidential candidate for the Action Alliance (AA), and Omoleye, presidential candidate for the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), are among the candidates at the ceremony that is about to begin.
The national chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullah Adamu, is also on seat for the occassion.
