Suspects in Ondo monarch’s kidnap held in Ibadan

Five people have been detained by Ondo State Police Command agents on suspicion of being involved in the kidnapping of High Chief Mukaila Bello, the Oniku of the Iku Quarters in Ikare Akoko.

Yeye Gbafinro, Adeiran Adeyemo, and Mr. Bashiru Adekile, a former House of Assembly candidate for the Akoko Northeast seat, were also seized along with Chief Mukaila.

After three days in the captor's den and the payment of a ransom of 4 million yen, they were released.

Four of the suspects who were presented to the public yesterday at the Ondo Police headquarters claimed to have been detained at their Ibadan home.
