According to the Lagos police command, 26 individuals have been detained for allegedly storming the palace of Oba Josiah Aina, the local authority of Oto Awori in Lagos State.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, informed reporters of this on Friday.
According to Hundeyin, the suspects broke into Oba Aina’s palace on Thursday and attacked most of the visitors, killing an unnamed individual in the process.
According to Hundeyin, the community had returned to normal.
He claims that 26 individuals have been detained in connection with the incident, but just one victim was killed.
“The command is investigating the cause of the attack,” he said.
According to NAN, the armed suspects stormed the palace during Oba Aina’s 15th coronation anniversary, attacked residents and guests, and stole their goods.
The offenders were also accused of burning other nearby establishments and vandalising property, including cars.
